Abstract Espresso Cup & Saucer Vase by Helen Martino

Fun and functionality are equally as important to Helen’s work. This piece is made from individually cut sheets of white stoneware clay which is then hand decorated using Japanese brushes and calligraphy to create the pattern and shapes. It is then dipped in underglazes, coloured slips and gold lustre to complete the design.
